The masa ( The dough)
Guineo ( green cooking banana), Sofrito, made by Sofia’s Spices, achiote oil (made from annatto seeds) made by Sofia’s Spices, Adobo with salt, made by Sofia’s Spices, oregano, Sazon, made by Sofia’s Spices, Vegetable bouillon, and salt.
The filling
Green Spanish olives, pimentos (roasted red peppers), capers, sazon, oregano, achiote olive oil (made from annatto seeds), diced potatoes, spinach and garbanzo beans, Adobo with salt, Sofrito. This is wrapped in a banana leaf (for flavor), and parchment paper then hand-tied with butcher’s twine.
Cooking Directions: You will receive this frozen or very cold. The masa/dough is raw, place in a rolling boil of hot water for 1 hr. Cut the twine, unwrap the parchment paper and banana leaf which is not edible. Then place it on your plate. Discard wrapping.
